Show Hinckley . . . Mrs. Harriet Spendlove Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Woodbury were the host last week of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Woodbury and daughter daugh-ter and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cole and son of Oakland. California. On Monday evening a family gathering gather-ing was held at their home where 25 family members participated in an enjoyable evening's entertainment. entertain-ment. After spending the 24th of July, the guests returned to their home in California. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haviland, of Pocatelo, Idaho, spent the week end with Byron Carter and family. !Mr. Haviland was with the 2nd Bat-tallion Bat-tallion of the 157th Regt. He was one of the survivers of Company F on Anzio Beach. Mr. Haviland received re-ceived the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and a Presidential Citation. Miss Beverly Bishop, Salt Lake City, is visiting with her brothers, Maughan and Kay Bishop in Hinckley. Hin-ckley. Thursday Mr. J. Leslie Wright and son, jack, were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. John Ed Wright. Mrs. Lynn Talbott visited last week in Meadow with her parents. John Christensen, of Aurora, visited vis-ited here last week with his sister, Hilda Wright. Mr. Karl Workman is now in Salt Lake City receiving treatment for his ear. Mr. Leonard Palmer is also now in Salt Lake City for medical treatment. treat-ment. Mr. and Mrs. Palmer were visited last week by her sister, Celestial Millierberg and her son, of Salt Lake. Cree returned to their home with them. Clinton Langston, who has been working in Idaho, was here for the 24th of July. Mr. Blaine Spendlove visited in Smithfield last week. His wife and son returned to Hinckley with him. Mrs. Emma Spendlove left Thursday Thurs-day to visit with her son, Glen, in Tooele, and her daughter, Ellis Hansen, in Salt Lake City. Word has been received here of the birth of a new son to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robison, who are former for-mer residents of Hinckley, but who now reside in Roscoe, California. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Stewart and family, of Las Vegas, Nevada, visited vis-ited this week with Eric's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Stewart. Thursday Thurs-day night a family gathering was held at the Stewart home, They left Friday for their home, and Mr. Nephi Stewart left with them for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Carter visited three days this week in Huntington Hunting-ton with Mrs. Carters mother, Mrs. Margaret Anderson. On Tuesday night Mrs. Carter entertained en-tertained at a birthday party for Rex. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. ByTon Carter, Mrs. Hilma Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Talbot, Mr. and Mrs. Max Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Pierson Stewart. Mr. Dwight Moody spent the 24th of July in Salt Lake City. Wendell Shurtliff made two trips to Salt Lake City last week to visit with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Stratton and family visited here last week, spending the 24th with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stratton. Strat-ton. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Don Bishop on the 24th, were Mr. and Mrs. Byron Parker, of Payson. Their daughter, Maxine, returned to Pay-son Pay-son with the family, after spending spend-ing three weeks at the home of her grandparents. Sheldon Western and Dale Bishop Bish-op spent the 24th in Ogden with Wallace Kernell. Wallace and his father, Charles, spent from Saturday Satur-day until Tuesday in Hinckley, visiting with Dale and Sheldon, and Charles, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Petersen. Clara Stewart had her daughter, daugh-ter, Patty Pate, of Cedar City, visiting vis-iting with her last week. A birthday party was given by Mrs. Kenneth Mecham for her daughter, Betty, on Tuesday. Games and refreshments were enjoyed en-joyed by Ramona Robison, Marjorie Ireland, Marie Davis, Coleen Blake, Karen Petersen, LaDon Mecham and Lyla Rae Talbot. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Western and family, of Salt Lake City, were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Western this week. Last week Janice Christensen, of Todd Park, visited in Hinckley with friends. She stayed at the home of Jerry Judd for part of her visit and at the home of Peggy Carter for part of the time. Mr. Juel Moody is now in Hinckley, Hinck-ley, after visiting a while in Salt Lake City. He will take a trip to Idaho next week. Mrs. George Talbot and Miss Donna Rae Judd are shopping in Salt Lake City this week. They will return home on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Walace Whicker spent Saturday and Sunday in Ka-mas, Ka-mas, visiting Mrs. Whicker's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. McNiel. Mrs. Amanda Whicker accompanied them as far as Springville, where she visited Mrs. Allie Bunker Mrs. T. C. Gronning, and her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Hazel Steinbock, of Milford, Mil-ford, have returned from a visit in Baker, Oregon. While there they held a fuller family reunion for two days with their sisters and brother, with forty-one members of the family present. John Nutsch and his sister, Mrs. Rose Huber, are going to Edmonton, Edmon-ton, Canada August 1st. They have a sister living up there whom they will visit. It is very far north, in cattle counry, and cool. |
