Show Rookette Club la Entertained Mrs. Barbara Spendlove entertained enter-tained the Rookette club at her home on Thursday evening. Dinner was served to twelve ladies. Club members included LaPriel Morten-son, Morten-son, Beulah Bassett, Rae Huff, Jetta Maxfield, Lorna Bunker, Arva Og-den, Og-den, Vesta Cahoon, Neva Robison, Grayce Pace and Donna Bishop. Guests were Mary Wright and Alta Ashby. Rook was played and high score held by Vest Cahoon; second by Dana Bishop and low by Rae Huff. Arva Ogden received the traveling prize. Vaughn Peterson, of New York and father E. E. Petersor., of Salt Lake City, and LaVee Peterson, of Cedar City, spent the week end visiting their sister, Wanda Beck-with. Beck-with. Mr. and Mrs. George Moody, of Los Angeles, and their daughter, Mrs. Annie Bowland, visited in Oasis Oa-sis over the week end with Mr. over the week end with Mr. Moody's sister, Mrs. Regina Haw-ley. Haw-ley. They made the trip to Salt Lake City by airplane, and came down from there with their son, Max Moody, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Max Moody, and their daugh-, daugh-, ter, Janice, and son, Ross, have made their home in Honolulu for the past thirteen years, and visited visit-ed here for the first time in ten years, with Mr. and Mrs, Ward Moody, their cousins. Miss Janice Moody Is entering college In the U. S. this fall. Mrs. N. D. Thatcher, Winston Thatcher and Ray Moody of Salt Lake were guests last week at the home of Mrs. Effle Moody. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ward made a trip to Fish Lake over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Sampson, and family, of Sandy, Utah, spent the 24th of July with Geralds parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Sampson Sam-pson and their friends. They brought Helen Sampson home, who has spent three weeks vacation In Salt Lake City. Dr. A. Inglesby, of Fruita, Utah, and Howard Van Home, of Tempe, Arizona, visited Delta Wednesday and were taken out to Topaz Mt. by Emory John to gather topaz crystals. |
