Show Stake Outing Planned August 7 at Oak Creek Every man, woman and child in the Deseret Stake is invited to attend at-tend the Stake Outing to be held up Oak Creek canyon on August 7, is the word given by general chairman, Paul Adams and co-chairman co-chairman LaVon Thompson. Plans are complete for a gala afternoon and evening for all who attend. Since the stores in Delta will be closed on Wednesday afternoon, after-noon, the sports will begin at 2 o'clock under the direction of Bur-nis Bur-nis Finlinson. Baseball will be the main feature, with horse shoe and other games directed for any interested in-terested in playing them. At 5 o' clock, under the direction of Mrs. Helen Baker, an unusual program will be presented in the ampithe-ater. ampithe-ater. Eating will commence at 6 o'clock, o'-clock, with Art Reeve and Glen Snow displaying to. the crowd their ability to barbeque meat to suit the individual tastes of hundreds. The stake is furnishing the meat, but if you want anything else to eat, bring it along with you. Individuals In-dividuals or groups are asked to furnish their own trimmings, reports re-ports Albert Payne who is in charge of the barbeque. At 7 o'clock the Oak City swim ming pool will be available for free swimming and a dance will be given at no charge at 9 o'clock in the Oak City open air hall. Transportation is left up to the individual to furnish for himself. |
