Show Eighth and Ninth graders test Enterprise talents The Parowan 8th and 9th grade basketball teams traveled to Enterprise Thursday, Feb. 7 for two return games. The 8th grade Rams defeated Enterprise a week earlier at Parowan by 3 points and were anxious to play at Enterprise, trying to make it two in a row. As the game progressed, the Rams took command with even scoring from all members of the team. Late in the game, the bench was cleared and the boys went right on scoring and won the game Dy 13 points. Members of the squad are Brad Fife, Kelly Evans, Mike Benson, Robert James, Mike Robinson, Mike Evans, Brent Rowlev, Kim Bess, Daryl Jones ana Clay Robinson. The 9th grade boys who also won the previous week by some 20 points, felt confident as they entered their game after wat- ching the younger boys defeat the opponent. " ' The game was no easy battle however, as the Enterprise boys were not so willing to be beaten at home. But in the end, the Rams defeated the Wolves by 11 points to make it two in a row for them also. The ninth grade team consists of only six boys. They are: Donald Hulet, Curtis Mitchell, Tom Robinson, Danny Pack-wood, Pack-wood, Brad Robinson and Kerry Orton. Coach Tobler feels as if he has a lot of talent coming up in the next couple of years. He reports that these youngsters even gave Woodward Jr. High from Dixie a close game. |
