Show Hospital establishes new policies It is necessary that the following collection procedures be enforced at the Valley View Medical Center due to increased collection problems. All insurance policies, welfare, etc. must be verified on admission ad-mission to make sure the in- surance policy is valid and to ascertain the amount of coverage. The amount not coveredby insurance, etc. is due and will be collected on discharge. Insurance forms must be submitted on admission. Suitable collection arrangements must be made. We will accept cash, bank interest-bearing interest-bearing notes, Mastercharge or Bankamericards, and verified insurance. A deposit on or before the time of admission will be required as follows for those who do not have verified insurance, etc.: A. OB PATIENTS: At least $900 must he collected in ad- vance. B. ELECTIVE SURGERY: Requires a suitable deposit. Information is available at the business office at the hospital. C. OUT-PATIENT OR EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICE: SER-VICE: Cash at time of service. The minimum hospital emergency room fee is $10. The doctor will also submit a charge for his services. D. CATASTROPHIC AND WELFARE CASES: Satisfactory arrangements will be worked out with the patient. An annual interest rate of 12 percent or 1 percent on the unpaid un-paid balance will be charged per month on any account due over 30 days. We will continue the policy of no discounts to anyone. |
