Show Mathesondan reunion activities PAROWAN - The Danial and Catherine Tresurer Mathesen family held a reunion at the Church Square last Saturday. 250 family members attended the day's events. Registration was held at 9 a.m. at the Parowan Third Ward after which guided tours were given to Cedar Breaks National Monument and the Parowan Gap area. Tours were also taken through the "Old Rock Church" and the beautiful Parowan Cemetery. At 2 p.m. activities were held on the square for the young people including a fish pond and foot races. A business and geneology meeting was held in the af-! af-! ternoon followed by a dinner in , the Third Ward Cultural Hall. At 7:30 a talent show was given by members of the family, with Dale Halterman as MC. Numbers on the program included a vocal solo by Laurel Mathesen. vocal trio by Pearl McAllister and daughters Rexine and Mary Ann. Piarlo solos by Debbie Maxwell and Mark Mathesen. Vocal solo by Patricia Farr, anticdotes by Lillian Grimshaw and a reading by Aunt Barbara Adams. At 9 p.m. a dance was held w ith music by the Enoch orchestra. Mac Mathesen of Arizona will serve as president of the organization for the coming year. 1 General chairman this year was Norman Adams. |
