Show ENOCH and MIDVALLEY NEWS and relatives in the area were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Matheson of Robinson, 111. Mr. and Mrs. -Ft. J. Christiansen returned last week after a trip to Calif, where they were called because of the death of Ray's brother, Lawrence Christiansen. By Veda Matheson Friends and neighbors of the Murie family were saddened by the death on July 8 of Elvin Murie. Mr. Murie had been in bad health for about two years and had to use a kidney machine three times a week, but seemed to be doing fine under these circumstances when he had a cerebrial hemmorrage and died within a few hours. Funeral services were held on Thursday of last week. Elvin's two brothers, Don of Cedar City, and Farrell of Washington and members of their families were here and also Elvin's three sisters, Katheryn Applegate, Ellen and Belva Anderson and their husbands and children were here. Marilyn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton O. Rust and Marilyn's three sisters, Lois Thompson of Orem, Ruth Smith of Maryland and Marjorie and John Croft of Vernal and members of their families far too many to list separately, were all here for the services as well as a number of friends from out of town. Mrs. Bernard Johnson and daughter Bertha McGee came from Famrington to visit with the Gaylen Matheson family and to return the Matheson's children, y Gaylen and Mary Sue to their home. Mr. and Mrs. Barnard Matheson are visiting in this area this week with members of their families. They came for the Matheson reunion last Saturday and will stay for the Anderson reunion to be held next Saturday. Vicky Matheson was in Provo on Saturday and Sunday to visit with her friends in that city. Richard Halterman came from Salt Lake to speak at the funeral for Elvin Murie and to visit with his mother, Mrs. Pearl Halterman. Halter-man. Recent visitors at the home of DeVon and Venita Jones, were Venita's mother Mrs. Mary Allen and uncle, Mel Weaver, and DeVon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jones.
