Show Denham files for State School Board Mr. Denham, a veteran of four years In World War II, is an active leader in civic affairs and in his church. He has served as Provo City Chamber of Commerce director, Kiwanis president, and as Utah County March of Dimes chairman --rii namm if -tmt n.nnm mi miin- Ross B. Denham of Provo announced today that he is a candidate for election to the Utah State Board of Education from District Seven which Includes 18 central and southern Utah school districts. He has been assistant superintendent in Provo School District for the past 13 years and will retire in 1979. Mr. Denham will support the following ideas if elected: elec-ted: l. Basic skills such as reading, writing, and arithmetic arith-metic should be stressed first in our educational system. 2. Discipline should be firm and permit all children to learn in an orderly atmosphere. at-mosphere. 3. School tax dollars should be used in the most efficient manner possible. 4.
