Show Hatch named fo LDS post ; " - -;V5 ill -VfiM r. i, y V f .!-;V, day Saints. Elder Hatch will preside over the Cedar and Panguitch Regions. Included in the Cedar Region are five stakes including the Cedar, Cedar West, Cedar North, Parowan and SUSC Stakes. The Panguitch Region includes Beaver, Escalante and Panguitch Stakes. The new Regional Representative officially began his assignment July 1. He was set apart for the calling by Elder Boyd K. Packer. In his private life, Elder Hatch serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Southern Utah State College. He is married to the former Elva Oldroyd and they have seven children: Dale, Provo; Elaine, St. George; Lynn, Orderville and Larry, Paul, Ann and Linda, all of Cedar City. Prior to his assignment as a Regional Representative, Elder Hatch served as President of the Cedar City, Utah West Stake for 11 years. In addition he served as a councilor to President Theron Ash-croft Ash-croft and was Bishop of the Cedar Eighth Ward for three years. "The primary function of the Regional Representative is to train Stake Presidents, Elder Hatch stated. "We serve as a liason between the Council of the Twelve and the Stakes," he said. Elder Hatch succeeds LaMar Stewart who has been reassigned as Regional Representative for the Manti and Fillmore Regions. CONRAD V. HATCH Conrad V.
