Show Parowan Girl Leaders plan SummerCamp PAROWAN Parowan Stake Young Women held their leadership meeting Thursday May 10th at 7:30 in the evening. They discussed the girls camp coming up and the guide book. The meeting was under the direction of Young Womens president Cerhie Smith, her counselors, Beverly Taylor and Jeanne Mortensen and secretary Diane i Rassmussen. ' Each leader was asked to share a special experience she had recently in her calling in the Young Womens Organization. Leaders are Shirley White, Harris to tell them bout her temple marriage and what it meant to her, and some of them had Mrs. Charlotte Stubbs wear her temple wedding gown and talk to them. A group of Summit girls traveled to St. George to see the Temple and the Visitors Center and grounds for their lesson. Some had bike rides and five mile cookouts. Paragonah also has a program where they involve young children and the girls enjoy this very much. When the power was off last week in Parowan Vivian Robb invited her girls to her Darlene Rowley and Sheral Condie of Summit, Pam Stubbs, Marie Green and Colleen Adams of First Ward. Diane Rassmussen, Kathy Hunsaker, and Marie Adams of Second Ward. Debbie Johnson, Iris Lambertson and Sharon Dalton and Aretha Fox of Third Ward. Paragonah leaders were Mary Abbott, Vivian Robb, and Judy Talbot. They told of special lessons on Temple Marriage and keeping high standards. The First Ward MIA maids invited Mrs. Tom home for an inspiration meeting and topped it off with a demonstration on cooking pizza on a coleman stove. Youth conference was discussed as a very memorable experience for girls and leaders and the Third Ward reported on the success of their Mexican Dinner held recently as a fund raising project. YW president Cherie Smith gave the girls information on the annual camp coming up. All were urged to attend. |
