Ram Grapplers tie with Beaver PAROWAN - Last Thursday, the Ram Grapplers Grap-plers had their first dual meet of the year against Beaver in the PHS Gym. The match was slated to be close ! and when the final scores were on the board, the scores were' tied at 30 to 30. The Rams started out ( strong by pinning their first three Beaver opponents. Bryan Mount, Tim Fox, and Dave Hulet all recorded pins. Larry Green received a forfeit giving the Rams a quick 24 to 0 lead. Beaver began to come back in the middle weights. This is Beaver's strong point and has proven to be a problem for Ram wrestlers. Tony Moss and Gordon Gurr both received decisions, giving the Rams their total of 30 points. The Rams are to travel to the Piute Invitational Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, December 10. This should be a good test for the Ram wrestlers because of the strong field of teams including Wayne, Millard, Hurricane, Beaver, Piute, Richfield and Panguitch. |
