The winning Club would house a traveling trophy deer head. This particular year 80 men, twenty from each club, hunted for 8 hours, killing 4,300 rabbits. Ed Benson held the record for being the best shot. Parowan won the right to keep the trophy heaad. It is hanging in the Club House for all to enjoy. Parowan's FFA CLub and their instructor, Thales C. Brown, enjoyed a time honored sport of Parowan recently, "The Annual Rabbit Hunt". As the rules go, all were on foot and shot guns only were allowed. Norman Bettridge and Richard Abbott of Paragonah, proved to be the high point men of the 1978 hunt. |
