Show Former Cedar Resident Dies Ernest Earl House, 82, former Cedar City resident, died January 1 in a Salt Lake hospital. A former director of the Bureau of Land Management, Mr. House served in the Department of the Interior for 28 years (some of which was spent in Cedar). He has long been identified as one of the leaders in the transition of the former General Land Office and the grazing service into the BLM. He won two meritorious service awards from the Federal Government and his name appears in the "Who's Who in the West." Mr. House was a member of the Catholic Church, the American Legion, the DAV, the Copper Golf Club and The Salt Lake Lions Club. He is survived by his widow, Frances L. Henahan House; a daughter, Dolores Mae Mulick, Thornton, Colo.; a son, Dr. E. E. House, Scottsdale, Arizona and two granddaughters. Burial was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. |
