Show Jean Scott Tullis, Newcastle dies; Honored at Services V .--.7 Jean Scott Tullis age 58, died in Newcastle, January 3, 1979 of natural causes. He was born February 27, 1920 in Newcastle to John Hard-man Hard-man and Ida Stirling Tullis. Mr. Tullis was a member of the Escalante Lions Club and was a farmer. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church. Survivors include three brothers and one sister: Stirling Tullis of Newcastle, Jerome Tullis of Salt Lake City, Carroll Tullis of North Las Vegas, Nevada and Mrs. VeRue Sandstrom of Provo. Funeral services were held in the Newcastle Ward Chapel Saturday, January 6, 1979 at 1 :00 p.m. Prelude and postlude music was rendered ren-dered by Norma Christensen. She also accompanied ac-companied the choir, which sang "Abide With Me," and "O My Father." Robert Holt conducted the funeral services. Speakers included Truman Blake, Mont Sorensen and Bishop Nor-mand Nor-mand Laub. Narma Christensen sang "In the Garden," accompanied ac-companied by Shirley Tullis. A medley of Scott's favorite songs were sung by Cleta Marianne Fisher, accompanied ac-companied by herself. Prayers were offered by Carroll Tullis, Jerome Tullis, Lister Woods and Stirling Tullis. Interment was in the Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. |
