' t y " ' Carolyn Middlesworth "Woman of the Year" The members of the Cedar City Business and Professional Womens' Club have chosen Carolyn Middlesworth Mid-dlesworth as their "Woman of the Year". She is a charter member and served as Corresponding Secretary and Director of the Southern District during that year of 1934-1935. Carolyn is a graduate of the Branch Agricultural College of Cedar City and of the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, from which she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Most of her work experience has been in southern Utah with the exception of two years spent in Arizona as secretary to the president of the Arizona Edison Company. Com-pany. She has worked as a secretary and accountant and has taught business at the Cedar City High School. She is also a member of Delta Zeta sorority and the Phi Delta Alpha Sorority of which she is now secretary. She married Ray Middlesworth Mid-dlesworth and during his lifetime, she assisted hime in the operation of a cafe, trailer park, and service station. She has a son McKay Middlesworth, who is at present employed in Cedar City. Carolyn has always been an active and interested member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, having served in almost every capacity. While her natural modesty keeps her in the background, we always know that any job she accepts, will be professionally and accurately ac-curately carried out. She is always trustworthy and dependable. It is with pride and affection, af-fection, we name her our Woman of the Year". |
