Show Phi Beta Lambda prepare for Meet historian Robin Bracken, a freshman majoring in business from Tonopah, Nevada. Doris Williamson is the SUSC PBL advisor. Members of Phi Beta Lambda at Southern Utah State, College are busily preparing for state-wide business competition which will be held in April at Utah State University. Preparations are especially important this year because two of SUSC's PBL members are serving as president and vice president of the state executive council. Betty Ann Bender, Las Vegas, and Gary LK. Williams, Price, are president and vice president, respectively, of the Utah PBL organization which includes ten chapters of the national business club. Both Bender and Williams are juniors majoring in accounting at SUSC. In addition to the Chi Alpha Chapter at SUSC, chapters exist at Utah State Uni University, Snow College, Stevens Henager College, College of Eastern Utah, Weber State College, Utah Technical colleges in Provo and Salt Lake City, Dixie College, and the newest charter group at the LDS Business College. PBL is sponsored by the National Business Association. The NBA also sponsors Future Business Leaders of America, the high school equivalent of PBL. SUSC's Chi Alpha Chapter was established in 1971 and is active on the local, state and national levels. The 35-member 35-member chapter holds weekly meetings at SUSC. Chapter activities include service projects for the community and school, fund-raising fund-raising projects, and competition. The SUSC group recently helped decorate the Valley View Medical Center fot . the Christmas season. They also published the 1978-79 student directory at SUSC, a listing of names, addresses and phone numbers of SUSC students, faculty and staff. Alan Haslem ,a senior accounting major from Neola, Duchesne County, is president of Chi Alpha Chapter this year. Vice president is Rodney Pearson, Pear-son, Richfield, a junior majoring in business administration. ad-ministration. PBL secretaries are Joan Christensen, Richfield, and Marianne Wisner, Milford. Both are majoring in a two-year two-year secretarial program at SUSC.
