Show Federal Building, P. O. Box 580, Cedar City, Utah 84720, at 2:00P.M. local time at the place of bid opening, on February 12, 1979, to be followed immediately by ORAL BIDDING for an estimated 1282 M board feet of ponderosa pine and other species of timber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The minimum acceptable bid per M board feet for ponderosa pine and other species is $68.33 Additional Ad-ditional deposit required for slash disposal is $2.39 per M board feet of all species. The bid rates will be subject to adjustment during the period of the sale as provided for by the quarterly quar-terly adjustment provisions of the timber sale contract. In addition, there is within the sale area an unestimated volume of dead timber of all species which will be paid for at $1.00 per M board feet. Required bid guarantee is $1,400. In accordance with the National Forest Management Act of 1976 a bidder qualifying as a small business under the Small Business Act, (as amended and the regulations issued thereunder) may elect at the time of sealed bid sumission to have the Forest Service construct the included specified road. If the bidder elects to have the Forest Service construct the roads, the price paid for the timber shall include the estimated construction cost which is $71,183. Such road will be constructed to the design classes and in accordance with drawings and specifications included in the sample contract. Purchaser Pur-chaser Credit Limit is stated in the sample contract and is $62,988. Specified roads, whether constructed by the purchaser pur-chaser or the Forest Service shall be completed by December 31, 1979 (Finale date for completion of all road construction). . . If the purchaser'elects to' have the Forest Service construct the roads, the Forest Service intends to perform construction by contract. When the Forest Service intends to construct the road through a contract, the award of the timber sale contract will not be made unless either a satisfactory road construction bid is received, or if Forest Ser- vice fails to receive such a bid within 120 days of opening timber sale bids, bidder agrees to perform road construction. All included timber shall be given domestic processiong. Bidders are advised that violation of the domestic processing requirement constitutes breach of contract and. may result in contract can-, cellation or in refusal to award J! ; timber sales t$ : violator or debarment or suspension from- bidding oft.' future timber sales. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
