Show Water Problems plague Brian Head In meetings held in the past several weeks, the Parowan Reservoir group and Parowan City appear to be bogged down, each waiting for the other to back each other up in any moves to decide the Brian Head water problems. In other action, the council increased the garbage rate from $1.50 per unit to $3.75 per unit to all people outside the town limits. The council said the reason for the increase was because the town could not legally subsidize people out of the town li limits with tax money. Annexation is stui a problem with various condominiums and corporations cor-porations being favorable and others against the move. Annexation meetings will continue. Future water concerns, with several motions to buy smaller water systems, highlighted the Brian Head Town Council meeting for October. A motion made by councilman Craig ' Morrill have the town offer to buy the Brian Head Enterprises small water system for the price of $25,000 was passed. A similar motion to negotiate for the purchase of the Brian Head Water Association system was also nassed unanimnnclv Still concerned with water, the town council passed a motion to instruct Town Manager Wayne Iverson to spend "all of his time" on water related business with primary emphasis on solving the stalemate with the Parowan Reservour Company. |
