Show HEWS FROM PARAGONAH i for a vacation. Mrs. Iras Jones and Mrs. Owen Jones were to Pan-guitch Pan-guitch on July 31st to join a number of their friends at a party to celebrate Gwen's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Harris and son Kelly arrived here on Sunday to visit their mothers, Mrs. Hannah Robinson and Mrs. Hattie Harris and do some camping and fishing in the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux of Orem arrived here on Saturday to visit for a time with the Chester Robinsons. They came with Kenneth Ash-ton Ash-ton and his family of Los Angeles An-geles who also visited briefly with the Rdbinsons. Mrs. Delores Robinson and members of her family traveled trav-eled to Orem on Wednesday to visit relatives until Friday Cindy Robinson who had been visiting here with her grandparents accompan i e d them. Members of the Elmo Robinson family, Todd, Becky, and Brenda, returned to Para-gonah Para-gonah with Delores to visit here while the mother took a trip to Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Banks and small son of Minersville visited at the Chester Robinson Robin-son home one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux traveled to Orem on Friday to spend the week end with their son Robin and his family. Mrs. Idella Robinson observed ob-served her birthday on Aug. 1st and many relatives came to help celebrate the event. A buffet supper was served to all. Mr. and Mrs. Ardell Talbot and children of Washington were here and in the Beaver area for several days last week. They were overnight guests at the home of Ardell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot and then went to Puffers Puf-fers Lake. Mrs. Zelma Robb reports a very interesting trip to New York where she traveled by plane to visit with Leslie and Ginger Hulet. She visited Canada and Niagara Falls and saw the Hill Cumorah Pageant, Pag-eant, also visited the Joseph Smith home and the Sacred Grove. In addition she saw the horse races where Leslie rides. Mr. Robb met her in Salt Lake on her return. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham received re-ceived word early last week of the death of her brother in-law, Grant Smith of Phoenix, Phoe-nix, Ariz. Funeral services and burial were at Beaver on Friday, Aug. 4th under the di rection of Bishop Phillip, Lund of Midvale, a son-in-law. I Mrs. Topham attended the service with family members and had a great many visitors during the . week. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ashcroft and four children of Phoenix visited here overnight on Aug. 2nd, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hullinger of Salt Lake City visited overnight over-night Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Blood of Cedar City and Mrs. Enid Clark and daughter Debra of Henderson, Nev. also visited at the Topham home. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Poulson and the Milton Poulson famT ily traveled to Salt Lake City recently in order for the Senior Sen-ior Mr. Poulson to keep a Doctors appointment. Here for the funeral services ser-vices of Mrs. Myrtle Abbott were the Paul Butterfield family of Ogden, the Tom Abbotts Ab-botts of Richfield, the Elliot Abbotts of Salt Lake City and the Howard Rasmussen family of Parowan. Mrs. Pearl Rogers was here from Cedar City accompanied ac-companied by her son-in-law and daughter, Pat and Shirley Smith of Boulder City, Nev. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Laimarr Knight, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Leavitt and Mrs. Marvel Pendleton all of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Abbott and family of Mes-quite Mes-quite and Mrs. Eldonno Leavitt, Lea-vitt, Bunkerville; Mrs. Nona Harris, Mrs. Rosemary Talbot and Mr. and Mrs. Lane By-tendors By-tendors came from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Hunt were here from Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Robinson Robin-son and four children of Salt Lake City spent last week in Paragonah and the surrounding surround-ing area. On Thursday they took Antone's grandmother to Hatch, Panguitch and Littles Ranch. Mr. and . Mrs. Wilson Lund returned home on Thursday after 11 days absence while they traveled to Billings, Miss Kathy Row of San Diego has been visiting here for a time with her grandmother grand-mother and great grandmother. grand-mother. On Friday, she and Mrs. Polly Row left for Calif, where Kathy would return home and Polly was to go to Berkeley to care for her invalid in-valid mother for a time. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones Mrs. Eva Topham and Mrs. Carmen Topham traveled to Fredonia on Wednesday of last week to see the Rodney Jones family and bring some of the boyr back with them. Gene and Phillip are here to help with the farm work. Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux Mrs. Lula R. Bastian observed ob-served the 84th anniversary of her birthday on Aug. 3 and family members arranged a buffet luncheon to entertain the many visitors. Mrs. Bastian had other visitors visi-tors during the week, Mrs. Mary Tuttle of Craig, Colo, and her daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Mari-lyn O'Neil of California were here on Wednesday. On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dalton were here from Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Tracy came from Pipe Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Tracy took the Inglesfoy boys to Pipe Springs with them. Robert Christiansen and most of his family were here for the week end with the La-grand La-grand Robbs. Lola was returning to Tus-con Tus-con with them the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Lagrand Robb are proud grandparents again since the arrival of a girl born to Eugene and Sandra Robb of Parowan on July 28. This makes five girls for the young couple. Mrs. Miriam Anderson returned re-turned home on Saturday after spending the week in Provo where she visited with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff Allen and attended a genealogy seminar at BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Inglesby and sons Gene and Shane were in town the last week end in July to visit with Annettes An-nettes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton. The boys remained re-mained here to spend the week. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Klamim and two children of Lehi visited vis-ited here on Sunday with Mrs. Klamm's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund. Mrs. Gwen Jones wenf to Salt Lake City the first of the week with the Rodney Bentley family. Mrs. Iras Jones has had a number of visitors of late. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Bell of Henderson, Hen-derson, Nev. and their daughter, daugh-ter, Miriam visited here on Saturday. Grandchildren Scott Smith of Sandy and Stacia Eager of Cedar City spent most of a week here. Tom Jones and Barry Hunt of Baker, Calif, visited here on Friday enroute to Fish Lake |
