Show Red Hill Wranglers win 33 trophies at Panguitch meet The Red Hill Wranglers traveled tra-veled to Panguitch Saturday, July 29 to attend the District Nine Riding Club meet, and , were lucky enough to bring homo 33 trophies. The Wrangler teams placed first in the pony express race, the water race, keyhole race, and the clover leaf barrel race. Vyonne Chamberlain won first place in the ladies' pleasure class with Karen Boardman placing third in the event. Dick Tullis took second in the men's pleasure class; Dick and Ellis Bryant placed second sec-ond in the matched pairs, and Dick also won the cutting! horse class. Paul Fife won the stock horse event and Paul and Charlie Boardman won the i trailer race. Paul and Roy Whitlock placed second in the hide race Woodrow Watson won the individual pole bending with a time of 22.5 seconds. Vyonne Chamberlain placed first with the ladies' barrels and Vickie Chamberlain placed Its, with a time of 16.5. Norm Evans and Dick Tul-is Tul-is won the team roping, with Charlie Boardman placing 2nd Norm and Dick also placed second in the ribbon pull with a time of 2.2 seconds. Members of the teams that attended the Panguitch event were Roy Whitlock, Norm Evans, Vyonne Chamberlain, Vickie Chamberlain , Wood-row Wood-row Watson, Charles and Karen Kar-en Boardman Paul Fife, Ellis El-lis Bryant and Dick Tullis. The Panguitch club was the host for the meet, and other clubs attending were Hurricane, Hurri-cane, Parowan, Circleville and Marysvale. Winning participants partici-pants in this meet, qualified to take part in the next meet for the regional honors. |
