Show Iron County Fair Parade plans are readied Final arrangements are being be-ing m adeT for the big . Labor Day Parade to be held in Parowan Par-owan on September 4, at 10:00 a.m. according to Lee Fife, Parade Chairman. The parade is one of the highlights of the annual Iron County Fair. The theme for this year's parade Is "Your Land and My Land." Cash prizes will be given to the various winners in each float category. The Grand Prize float will receive $75.00. First place in the commercial, civic, and church groups will take home $40.00 each. Riding clubs will be presented with ribbons for first and second places. The last two categories are the humorous and individual indi-vidual entries. $20.00 will be presented to the winers in these two groups. The parade will assemble on the street just south of the Parowan third Ward Chapel at 9:00 a.m. and will start promptly prom-ptly at 10:00 a.m. All interested Individuals and groups in the area are invited in-vited to participate in this year's parade. Floats should be pre-registered by contacting contact-ing Lee Fife in Cedar City at 586-4022 or Mrs. Ron Smith in Parowan at 477-8883. |
