Show CLEP testing program offered students CLEP (College Level Examination Examina-tion Program) can save both time and money for college students. CLEP, or credit by examination, examina-tion, can give passing "students "stu-dents up to 4 hours of college credit to pass general education educa-tion requirements and can enable en-able them to enroll for school this fall as sophomores rather than freshmen. Tests are given in five areas: English, math, natural sciences, social studies, and humanities. CLEP tests will be given under the institutional testing program at Southern Utah State College on September 16 at 8:30 a.Tn. in the Health and Conseling Building. The entire series of tests will take approximately ap-proximately six hours. Under the institutional testing test-ing program, scores are tabulated tabu-lated at SUSC and results are available within- a week. Students Stu-dents can be tested under this program only if they are SUSC students or have made firm plans to attend SUSC fall quarter. The fee for institutional counseling is $5 for one test, $10 for two or three tests, and $15 for four or five of the general gen-eral exams. Also available is CLEP open testing scheduled for the third week of each month, this month August 17. An advantage advant-age of open testing is that scores can be sent to any college col-lege or university, however, the tests aren't scored at SUSC so results can't be as prompt. The cost for open testing is $15 for one test or $25 for two to five tests. For more information contact con-tact Dr. Dean Pearson, SUSC Health and Counseling 586-4411, 586-4411, Ext 289. |
