Show Sedar Kennel Club calls first meeting The first meeting of the Cedar Ce-dar City Kennel Club will be held in the Cedar City Court Room at 1 p. m. Feb. 14. In addition to learning how to take care of their dogs club members will be able to learn obedience conformation, field training and showing. The problems of breeding will also be taken into consi-deraton, consi-deraton, and members may want to specialize in certain breeds of dogs. One unusual breed of dog now present in Cedar City is the Saluki which is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Stanley E. O'-Leady. O'-Leady. The O'Lareys own Sinagar's ' Kalvanna Vinauta which is a granddaughter of Jen Araby Siva and Trudy of Daxlore. The grandfather has been in several movies which have I specifically called for a Sa-1 Sa-1 luki. The Saluki is often said to be the world's oldest purebred dog. This may be true since mummified remains of Egypt-itn Egypt-itn Salukis (500 B. C.) show the appearance of the Salukis to be virtually unchanged. The Saluki is considered holy in the Middle East and is a useful member of society. He is a hunter and very rugged. rug-ged. People who own Salukis find them deep and perceptive but also playful and silly.
