Show ' Choir at Institute to perform at June Conference The LDS Institute Choir in Cedar City has been extended an invitation by the General 1 Music Committee of the I Church of Jesus Christ of Lat-1 Lat-1 ter-day Saints, to provide I music for the Saturday, April 1 4, afternoon session of the I June Semi-Annual General , Con erence. Th.? 350-400 voice cnoir will 1 be under the direction of Phil-! Phil-! ip Hanks and Dr. Blaine John-1 John-1 son. All college students who ; would like to sing in th,? Tab-! Tab-! 1 ernade in Salt Lake City in ; connection with the appear-crx? appear-crx? invited to contact either f the directors. Plans have also been formulated form-ulated for a fund raising d ive to help meet expenses ol the trip. It is anticipated tliat $3000 will be needed for the excursion and friend I and townspeople are in-v'.ted in-v'.ted to make contributions. Contributions may be directed to the Institute at 290 West Center. Dr. Joseph Felix, director of the institute, points out the iniportanc.3 of such recognition recogni-tion to both the college and community. |
