Show Sanctioned ski races set at Brian Head Approximately 250 boys and girls from the three states of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming are expected to be on hand at Brian' Head Ski Resort this week to participate in races sanctioned by the United Stales Ski Association, Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Division. Bill Thompson, manager of the resort, indicates that the races are the first sanctioned by the national organization to bo held at the southern Utah resort. Races will start at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 15. . Slalom for pee wee, novice and intermediate will be staged. However, the resort is . in need of gate keepers and timers for the event. Those interested in assisting will be awarded a free clay lift pass. Volunteers should contact Thompson or Mark Raider at Brian Head No. 1. Participating in the' activities activi-ties will be members of the Brian Head Racing team. Last week at Eagle Rock in Evans-ton, Evans-ton, Wyo. team members made a good showing with Kent Sullivan placing 12th in his division. Spectators will be welcome, Thompson stated. |
