Show Heart Sunday kicks off drive for funds Max Webb, Iron County Heart Association chairman, announces that March 1 is designated as Heart Sunday in Iron County. I During the week that fol-j fol-j lows a volunteer will call at ' each home in the county asking ask-ing for contributions to this worthy cause. Upon receipt of a contribution the worker will in turn give patrons a ticket which will entitle them to attend at-tend an "Evenng of Memories and Melodies in Song," which will be presented at the Southern Utah State Recital Hall Sunday, March 8 at . 8 p.m. The program is being given in appreciation for the support sup-port that is annually given to the Heart Fund and for those who contribute to the program this year. The program will be under the direction of Gladys W. Jsom and will feature some of the best talent available in Cedar City. Some of the soloists will include Ralph Hafcn, Christine Chris-tine Winterrose, Norman Lister, List-er, Sue Jensen, Bruce Jorgen-sen Jorgen-sen and Joan Campbell. Also a special double mixed quartet and ladies trio will perform at the benefit. They will sing such songs as "The Desert Song," "Gypsy Love Song," "Win You Remember," "Beautiful Dreamer." Also featured will be an original or-iginal "Ballad to Arden Heap." If residents are not contacted contact-ed during the week contributions contribu-tions will be accepted at the door on the evening of the performance, Webb indicated. |
