Instruction In-struction is given each Tuesday Tues-day and Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the SUSC Physical Education Ed-ucation Building dance laboratory. labor-atory. He is a white belt karate champion in North County, Calitf. and holds trophies from the Utah Open Karate Cham pionships and the Las Vegas, Nev. National Championships. He played footlball for two years at Mira Costa Junior College in California and was a member of the 1969 championship cham-pionship team. Students of Mr. Molifua who will be participating in the halftime karate exhibition are Clair Vincent, manager at J.B.'S Big Boy, and SUSC students stu-dents John Sears, Raymond Wissiup, Vicky Vernon, and Lynette Joseph. ; A special karate demonstration demonstra-tion by Henry Molifua and students in his Limalama karate school will be conducted conduc-ted during halftime of the SU-SC-Ft. Lewis game to be played in Cedar City Saturday, Feb. 5. The program will consist of three parts, beginning with a salute by the troupe. A demonstration dem-onstration in techniques will include an explanation of Limalama movements and the precision art of breaking bricks and two by four boards. Kata, or form, will be illustrated illustra-ted by students, and then by Mr. Molifua. As explained iby Mr. Molifua, Limalama means "The Hand of Wisdom." This particular technique deals mostly -with hand movements as opposed I .to the standard karate tech-I tech-I niques using the feet and !legs extensively. However, according to Mr. Molifua, the Saturday demonstration will include a number cf kicking movements and basic forms. |
