Show NEWS FROM SUMMIT Kenneth Rowley is in Salt Lake City attending a ten day schooling. After a week end visit here with his family, fam-ily, Mrs. Howloy and youngest young-est daughters, accompanied him back to the city to spend several days. Mrs. Kenneth Rowley took her daughter, Jill, to Provo early last week to keep an appointment with her doctor. They wre accompanied by Mrs. Delos Dalton and Mrs. Alma Hyatt of Parowan. Quenton Bowler had surgery on his nose last week in a Salt Lake hospital. Mrs. Bowler Bow-ler returned home Sunday after af-ter spending several days with her husband at the hospital. Robert Hartshorn and son, Barry, were here from Mesa, Ariz, attending to business over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Morton Mor-ton and family traveled to Hawthorne, Nev. over the week end to visit with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lowe. Little Erick and Shaun Edwards Ed-wards of Greenville spent several sev-eral days here last week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Richards. They are the chidren of Mr. and Mrs. Ricke Edwards. New officers elected at the Summit Water and Stock Co. meeting held Friday were Dee El Stapley, Hyrum Humtph-erys, Humtph-erys, Kenneth Rowley, Carlisle Car-lisle Hulet and Cornell Hol-linger. Hol-linger. Outgoing officers were Carl Evans, Rodger Morton, Ivan Dalley, Raymond Farrow, and Boyd Walker. Mrs. Donna Davenport An outstanding Ward MIA Music Festival was presented Tuesday evening of last week with ail the young people of the ward participating, directed direct-ed bv Mrs. Allen Dalley. The Institute Chorus from SUSC, under the direction of Phillip Hanks joined them for several numbers and also sang two beautiful numbers of their own. Accompanist were Keith Lawrence and Shirlynn White. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hanks of Parowan were here Thursday evening of last week as guest speakers at the special spe-cial business meeting and social so-cial for the Elders and their wives. Mrs. Sylvia Stanley's and Mrs. Connie Wicker's primary classes held their Daddy -Daughter party at the church Saturday evening where an Enchilades dinner and games were enjoyed. Those attending in addition to Mrs. Stapley and Mrs. Whicker, were Trayci Dalton and her uncle David Hyat, Holly Dalton and father Bishop Delos Dalton, Jeanne Evans and father Carl Evans, and Carolyn White and father Dee White. Mr. and Mrs. LeRay Reese are the parents of a baby girl Iborn Thursday of last week at the Valley View Medical Center. Cen-ter. Mrs. Reese's mother, Mrs. Frieda Kearl of Ogden is here visiting at the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Hum-pherys Hum-pherys enjoyed a trip last week to Farmington, New Mexico where they attended a retirement dinner honoring two Utah International employees, em-ployees, Earl Frye and Earl Hanson. They also visited with Mrs. Humipherys' borther and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Walker Hall while there. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gurr and Mrs. Josephine Smith of Parowan visited here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Von Davis, daughter Laurie and her fiance, fi-ance, Chris Nelson of Price visited here Sunday with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport and the Fred Wickers. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow Far-row welcomed their young grandson, Raymond Allton when he arrived here Wednesday Wednes-day of last week from Oklahoma Okla-homa City, Okla., to spend some time with them. Bishop and Mrs. Delos Dalton Dal-ton are in Logan this week on business. Mrs. Eva Dalton is here from Circleville caring for her grandchildren while their parents are away. |
