Show Manning named chapter chairman Gsnealcgica! Jksn, Qeorge R. Manning was named temporary chairman of tho Cedar City Cliaplor of the Utah Genealogical Association Assoc-iation at a meeting hold in Cedar City Friday evening. Representing the Utah organization or-ganization at the meeting was George B. Everton, Sr. of Logan, Lo-gan, chairman of the Chapter's Chap-ter's Committee of the UGA. Other officers named at the meeting to serve temporarily during the organization phase were J. Vernilo Terry, vkv chairman; Lillian Randall, secretary and treasurer; Mis-non Mis-non Hatch, corresponding secretary and Aleen Stewart, publicity. A nominating committee was formed including Marjor-ie Marjor-ie Christiansen, Elma Hardy and Alice Smith. Program directors di-rectors are Ila Bauer and Laurel Smith with Crystal Larson in charge of displays. Wilma Petty will head the hospitality committee and placed in charge of drawing up the chapter constitution 1 were Vere Wilson, Jay Over, son and Danny Hirschi. Invitation Invi-tation and membership will be under the direction of Connie Con-nie Lowi'iy. Goals of the UGA were ox-plained ox-plained to those in attendance attend-ance by Mr. Everton In addition addi-tion to discussing helps that could be provided through tho state organization. He pointed out that through membership in the organization members would receive the "Genealogical "Genealog-ical Journal," and the quarterly quart-erly "UGA Newsletter."
