Musical selections included a vocal duet, "Beyond the Sunset," by George Crimshaw and Elwin Armstrong with Shirley Jone as accompanist and Marva Armstrong as speaker; and a vocal solo by Howard Knight. Prelude and postlude music was by Kristie Bradshaw. Knight was born July 8, 1916 at Cleveland, Utah, a son of Kaze, April 19, 1938 in Cedar Knight. He married Helen Kaze, April 19, 1738 in Cedar City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. A carpenter Iby trade he was serving as foreman for Blackburn Black-burn and Gower Construction Co. at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, two sons and a daughter: Douglas VerDell and Rodney Lynn, both of Cedar City and Mrs. Homer (Sandra) Pittard, Mountain Home, Idaho. Other survivors include four grandchildren, parents, Cedar Yerdell Knight dies of heart attack enroute from vork Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Cedar Ce-dar Second Ward Chapel in honor of VerDell Knight, 55, of Cedar City. Knight died Friday, Jan. 28, of an apparent heart attack. The Cedar City carpenter had been working in St. George and he was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car between the trafiC' lanes of Interstate Highway 15 in Washington County. He apparently had left work in St. George and was on his return home.
