Show Edwin G. Cox named president Sons of Utah Pioneers Edwin C. Cox was installed as president of the Cedar City Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers at the annual election elect-ion meeting and bread and milk supper held Friday evening. ev-ening. Named first vice president was Willard (Bill) Lunt. Lunt will assume the presidency of the organization for 1973. Jeff Marchant was elected second vice president and Howard Wood third vice president. Other officers include El-wood El-wood Corry, immediate past president; George Strebel, historian; his-torian; Lanell Lunt, Chaplain; Orville Isom, Judge Advocate and Reed Bradshaw has been appointed to serve as secretary secre-tary for the coming year. At the meeting Dr. Strebel addressed the group on the part irrigation played in development de-velopment of the West. Musical Mus-ical entertainment was furnished furn-ished by the Art Walunas family fam-ily of Brian Head. Special guest of the evening was L. C. Miles who is a vice president of the National organization or-ganization of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. |
