Show Flyers win Winter Classic Hockey tournament honors The Flyers hockey team led by Carry Lake won a hard fought Color Country Classic hockey tournament by defeating defeat-ing the North Stars 8-7 in a sudden death overtime game played at the Woods Ranch rink Friday night. The Flyers had led 3-1 early in the game but were behind 7-5 with three minutes to play. A goal by Terry iPorter with just 15 seconds to play tied the game 7-7 and the Flyers won it after three minutes of overtime on a goal by Lake. Tom Leek scored five goals for the North Stars in the game. On the previous night the North Stars had extended the tournament by beating the Flyers 4-3 with Bruce Wark scoring three goals - for the winners. In a game played Wednesday night North Stars defeated Penguins 9-6. The Youth Hockey AU-Star game scheduled for Saturday morning was canceled due to snowfall. The game will be rescheduled for a later date. Boys selected for the All-Star team were: Team "A" Carry Lake, Mark Erickson, John Wark, Fain Milner, Richard Morris, Jay SandSberg, Jimmy Reese. Team "B" Bruce Wark, Tom Leek, David Sjdblom, Bruce Riskey, Joe Hiskey, Harvey Har-vey Delong, Terry Porter. In a men's hockey game' played Saturday a team from Enoch defeated Cedar City 7-6. Richard and Jay Grimshaw each scored two goals for the Enoch team. Peter Benn and Jim Wark scored 3 each for Cedar City. A Saturday game between these two teams is planned for the remainder of the season as long as the ice remains good.
