Show Southern Utah State College Library receives book collection of educator The Southern Utah State College Library has received the special book collection of a noted Provo educator and businessman through his lifelong life-long association with Profes-;or Profes-;or A. V. Stephenson, dean of the SUSC School of Business and Technology. Evan M. Croft, past vice president of the Utah School Board Association and a former form-er president of the Western Business Education Association, Associa-tion, has given his complete business library of 352 books and business publications to SUSC. He and Dean Stephenson Stephen-son were classmates at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University, where Mr. Croft received a bachelor's bache-lor's degree in 1929. He was awarded a master's degree from the University of Southern South-ern California in 1939. He taught business at Lehi High School and later became a faculty member at BYU. He I has been director of the High School Commercial Contest and is a recognized authority on speed typing and writing. He has also had practical experience ex-perience in business, working as a business manager, property pro-perty manager, business analyst, an-alyst, and consultant. His own publications include in-clude PERSONALITY IN BUSINESS BUS-INESS AND LIFE, DIRECT APPROACH AP-PROACH TO SPEED AND AC-CURACY, AC-CURACY, DIRECT AND NATURAL NA-TURAL TYPEWRITING, THE QUEST FOR PEACE. SONS OF THE VIKINGS, and THE STATUS STA-TUS OF TEACHERS OF BUSINESS BUS-INESS SUBJECTS IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF UTAH. He has also published a number num-ber of magazine articles. I The collection given to the SUSC Library includes 79 hardbound volumes, 73 periodicals, per-iodicals, 1 record set, 8 practice prac-tice sets, 6 manuals, and 13 i workbooks. 1 |
