Miller of Parowan, has been called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Miller has been called to serve in the Alberta-Saskotchewan Alberta-Saskotchewan Mission in Western Wes-tern Canada with mission headquarters in Calgary. Alberta. Al-berta. He is to report to the mission home in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Oct. 23 and will depart for his field of labor la-bor Oct. 28. The program for the Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting in the Parowan First Ward, cf which he is an active member will be given giv-en by the Miller family on Oct. 17. The time of the meeting meet-ing is 3:15 and all ward members mem-bers and friends of the family fam-ily are invited to attend. Elder Miller is a graduate of Parowan High School and completed a year at Southern Utah State College. He is a four year graduate of the Par-iowan Par-iowan LDS Seminary and attended at-tended Institute classes as SU-SC. SU-SC. He lias received his "Duty , to God" award and the bronze Good Citizenship medal, giv-i giv-i en by the Utah Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Revolu-tion. He was active in school, serving on the student council; coun-cil; he attended Boys' State in 19GD and was a member of the school's Model United Nations team for two years, and served serv-ed as chairman of the 1970 delegation. |
