Temple ceremony A double-ring ceremany solemnized sol-emnized in the St. George Temple June 12 united Miss Kathy Betenson and Jesse E. Long III, in marriage. President Presi-dent Rudger Atkin officiated. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Francis W. Betenson Beten-son of Cedar, and the parents of the bridegroom- are Jesse Long, Milford and Mary Long, Porterville, Calif. That evening the newly married couple were feted at a reception in the Ninth Ward cultural hall. The bride wore a gown of white nylon organza trimmed of a six year program with the Navy and is presently stationed on an atomic submarine sub-marine in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Ha-waii. Pre-nuptial courtesies for the bride included a personal person-al shower held at the home of Edward A. Parry. It was given giv-en by Elaine Parry, Susan Childs and Dixie Betenson. A luncheon was hosted by Bonnie Bon-nie and Ellen Olofson. They entertained at a kitchen gadget gad-get luncheon to which they invited all the ladies on the bride's street. with heavy white lace and white seed pearls. A long attached at-tached train and a finger-tip veil of four tiers of bridal illusion il-lusion added to the bridal elegance. The veil was attached attach-ed to a crown of heavy white lace and seed pearls. Four white orchids surrounded b) white carnations completed the ensemble. Attending the bride were Mrs. Brent Betenson as matron ma-tron of honor; Miss JoAnn Betenson Be-tenson as maid of honor, and bridesmaids, Misses Susan Childs, Tess Fenton, Bonnie Olofson, and Elaine Parry. They wore long green crepe dresses and veils of green bridal illusion and green rib' bon. , . Best man was Brad Whit-taker, Whit-taker, and ushers were Brent Betenson, Larry Reese, Curtis Berry and Allen Foisey. Mothers of the bridal pair wore yellow knit street-length dresses trimmed with sequins. Their white carnation corsages cor-sages were accented by pale yellow leaves. For her going away costume the bride chose a long sleeved white knit with a long vest of navy,, red and white stripes. The newlyweds honeymooned honeymoon-ed for five days in Las Vegas Ve-gas before flying to Honolulu, Hawaii where they will live for the next two years. The bride graduated from Cedar High School, completed two years at SUSC, and spent the last year at BYU as a junior. The bridegroom graduated from' Milford High School and completed one year at' SUSC. He has completed four years |
