Show Class offered in feminine behavior Proper feminine behavior is the central topic cf a class I introduced at Cedar Junior High School this year. lue class, called "Secretar ial Grooming," is under the direction of -Mrs. Alan Je-nson. "I saw so many girls with no knowledge of proper man-1 man-1 ners or use of make-up," Mrs. Jenson said, when asked what gave her the idea for the class "Tlie class is designed to help girls learn what the difference is between ladies, real ladies, and girls," says Mrs. Jenson. Since tlie class was started the girls have heard from many guest speakers including includ-ing representatives from cosmetic cos-metic firms, experts on business busi-ness relations and other adults expressing varying views on proper behavior tor young ladies. Interest in the class lias been expressed by the Utah State Department of Vocational Voca-tional Education. Gary Lloyd, state specialist in business education, ed-ucation, has visited the el ass. He praised Mrs. Jenson's ingenuity in-genuity at filling a gap in the educational system. Mrs. Jenson has been invited invit-ed by Lloyd to Speak to the Utah Teachers of Business Education Ed-ucation this summer at a workshop at Utah State University. Uni-versity. According to Lloyd, the program pioneered at Cedar Ce-dar Junior High School may be adopted statewide. |
