Show Parowan students win honors at Vocational Day A number of students from Parowan High School traveled to Cedar City on May 4 to participate par-ticipate in the Southern Utah State College Vocational Day activities. While some students stud-ents observed demonstrations, others joined in the contests. And as a result a number of the students won honors in some of the divisions. Gary Benson received third place in Junior High metals, Mike McKee won a third place and Mark Humpherys won a fourth place in electronics. Some Parowan students entered en-tered the projects for contest con-test judging according to Mr. Willis Robinson, and those who received ribbons are as follows: Joyce Marie Munford, first on a magazine rack, Craig Orton Or-ton first on a fire place set; Kenneth Bentley, second on a wood basket; David Judd, second on a barrel bank; Craig White second on a lamp, Linda Bayles, 3rd on her magazine mag-azine rack; Eric Bayles, third on his planter and Craig White third 'on a name plate. Mr. Robinson, instructor, was quite happy with the interest and participation of the students stu-dents in this work. |
