Show Cedar 0ES Chapter has February meet Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order Or-der of Eastern Star, .met Monday Mon-day evening, Fsb. 9, at the Masonic Temple. Mrs. Lucille Bunn, worthy Matron, and Clayton Lewis, worthy patron, presided. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wright, former resident of St. Anthony, Idaho, and now residing in Cedar City, joined the Chapter by affiliation. . The ceremony of installation installa-tion "out of time" was conducted con-ducted for Nora R. Lyman, who was elected associate matron of the Chapter for the ensuing year. The installing officer was Mrs. Marie Ends-ley, Ends-ley, past matron. She was assisted as-sisted by past matrons Ethel Smith, Marjorie Durand, and Lelah Wilson. Mrs. Lyman, a resident of St. George, left for an extended tour of Australia early in November and returned re-turned to her home early in February. Velma Lundgren, chairman of the Ways and Means committee, com-mittee, submitted a report on the card party held Feb. 7, and extended her thank to those who participated in making the party a success. A special thanks was extended to business establishments who contributed a portion of the door prizes. Following the meeting a buffet lunch was served mem-bers mem-bers and visitors by Candace Ewing, Marie Endsley and Lelah Le-lah Wilson. Table decorations were red hearts and cupids on a background of white lace. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Chriss and Mrs. Virginia Callhan of St. George were visitors for the evening. |
