Show Cedar Woman Visits Son's Family Mrs. Gertrude McCoughey 1 recently returned from a three week trip to England where she visited with her son and his wife, Maj. and Mrs. Gayle Walker. An added attraction for the trip was her new grandson, William James, the first child .for the Walkers born March 11 in London, England. Maternal Ma-ternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Strickland, Emmett, Idaho. The Walkers live in Great Missinden, a village near the High Wycombe Air Force Base where Major Walker is stationed. stat-ioned. A cousin, Mrs. Elma Covill, Walnut Creek. Calif, accom- panied Mrs. McCoughey on the trip, and the two ladies departed from San Francisco by Pan American Airlines. Several days were spent in London on such sightseeing tours as the Towr of London, Windsor Castle, and Madame Tussaud's famous Wax Works. Evening entertainment was enjoyed at the Cinema and Theaters of London. Mrs. McCoughey reports that she especially enjoyed a drive through the colorful countryside and visiting with the friendly English people in the villages. Before returning to Cedar City Mrs. McCoughey visited with her sisters in Berkeley and San Leandeo, Calif., and with the Robert Browning in Santa Clara, Calif. |
