In the wee's action Utah Parks won its two contests to move Into a one game lead In the league. Thursday evening Parks scored an 8 to 2 victory over Southern Utah Power with Sam Chamberlain Chamber-lain the winning pitcher. Parks collected seven hits in the contest con-test with Danny Lindsay, third baseman, leading with three hits in four trips, two for doubles and two RBI'a to his credit. Kent Smith was the losing pitcher for the Kilowatt kids and both clubs were charged with four errors. Friday evening Arden posted its second win of the season In knocking over the Construction crew In a tight 3 to 2 game. Steve Cahoon was on the mound for the Dairymen. He collected 15 strikeouts and allowed only three hits. Gayle Roberts started and was relieved by Lory Misel for Construction. They allowed only three hits. Construction pushed over two runs In the top half of the first inning and were shut out for the next six. Dairy pushed In two In the fourth to tie it up and Larry Anderson homered, his first of the season, in the fifth, to break the deadlock dead-lock and Si-ore the winning run. Monday Construction suffered Its second loss in a row, bowing to the Power Company, 8 to 5. Calvin Malr picked up the win for Power with n fine three hit mound performance. Nine errors plagued the miners in !!ie game and Power pushed in two runs in the first frame without a hit and added five runs in the second sec-ond on three hits. The second inning spree was sufficient to stop Construction who bounced back with a pair in the fifth and one In the sixth after scoring scor-ing two tallies in the first frame. Leigh Rosenberg took the spotlight Tuesday evening 'in pitching a two-hitter against Arden Ar-den Dairy, for the Parks. Parks won 6 to 1. Rosenberg pitched no hit. no-run ball for six Innings In-nings only to allow two hits in the seventh to score the single run for Arden's. Parks scored two runs in the second on three successive suc-cessive hits by Chamberlain, Ronald Englestead and Mike Houchen to start the scoring and picked up two runs in the fifth and sixth for a total of six on seven hits.
