Show PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES Mrs. Hilma Lomoreaux Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones enjoyed a week end trip to Salt Lake City and Ogden. They spent Saturday at the State Fair where Mr. Stones attended to business matters in connection with his position as president of the Iron County Fair Board. Sunday tlu y traveled to Ogden to spend thej day, which was Mrs. Stones birthday, with their son Miio cr. family. Mr. and Mrs. Asa Topham arrived ar-rived home Wednesday of last week after an interesting six day tour which took them through parts of Nevada, by way of Ely and into Idaho and Oregon. They made the trip with Emma's sister sis-ter and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim W. Low of Beaver. The travelers spent two days in Boise, Idaho with another sister and her husband, Mr, and Mrs. Reed Smith. They also visited in Salt Lake City with the Earl Topham an.l Eail LeFevre families. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards and their children were here from Cedar City to spend the week end with their folks. Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Lund and son Garr of St, George were week ! end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund. Mrs. Doris Williams and her r.v son from Cedar City arrived !. i town Thursday of last week ' t- spend some time with her sis- I t?r and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mis. Ted Barton, while Mr. Williams Wil-liams was in Salt Lake City. Kay Hansen of Salt Lake City was in town for a short time on Monday and called on his wife's people, the William T. Davenport family. A number of Paragonah ladies traveled to St. George Monday to attend the DUP convention for the counties of Washington, Iron and Beaver. Included in the group were Mrs. Nina Robb, Mrs. Nora Barton, Mrs. Bertha Topham, Mrs. Hannah Robinson ih Jean Boardman and Mrs. . Alice Robinson. The group also traveled travel-ed to New Harmony for the marker dedication held in connection con-nection with the convention. On Wednesday of last week Mr. and Mrs. A. G. George of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Floyd Walker of Pocatello, Idaho, arrived ar-rived in town for an overnight stay with the Wilson Lund family. fam-ily. They were in this vicinity to attend the funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Maxwell, held in Cedar City Thursday. Relatives here have received word of the birth of a baby boy to Eugene and Colleen Clark of Henderson, Nevada. ' Mrs. Gwen Jones left for El Centro, Calif.; Thursday of last week. She visited with the Robert Ro-bert Lamoreaux family and also took care of business matters, arriving home Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Arvll Ashton of j Provo arrived here Saturday after a trip to Los Angeles. They will visit here for a few days with ' the Chester Robinson family. I Mrs. Dorothy Robinson was guest of honor at a delightful I party held at the home of Mrs. ' Alice Robinson Saturday evening, even-ing, .Sept. 21. A large group of ladies were present for an inter- icsting evening of games. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and their Infant son left for Logan early Sunday. Mr. Burton will enroll for classes at the ;Utah State University for the coming season. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Prlsbey of St. George were in town Saturday to spend the day visiting at the j Chester Robinson home. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Maxwell I of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Orvil Perkins of Overton, Nev., spent Thursday evening of last week in Paragonah where they visited with the Wilson Lunds.
