Word was received here last week of the sustaining of David Anderson as Bishop of the Alamo Ward. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Anderson of Alamo and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Murie. Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Jones left here Sund. 10 travel to Las Vegas to visit for a few days with their daughter and family. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Grimshaw Grim-shaw and family visited here with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Grimshaw Grim-shaw and family during the Christmas Holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Garfield and here during the Christmas season with Mr. Garfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Garfield. Visiting here during the Christmas Christ-mas week end were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murie of Las Vegas. They returned home Saturday evening. Miss CoraLe Gibson was here from Salt Lake City to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Gibson and her sister, Vyonne. She returned to Salt Lake Sunday afternoon with Worth Grimshaw, who was also returning to Salt Lake after visiting vi-siting here with family and friends. Visiting lure on Christmas day with the Richard Nelson family and the Dee Wilcken famly were Mr. and Mrs. George Q. Wilcken and their daughter Louise. Louise has just returned home from the Northern States Mission where she served for eighteen months. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Wilcox and .children stopped here Christmas afternoon to visit briefly with Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wilcken and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox were on their way to Los Angeles to attend a Missionary Testimo nial for their uncle and aunt who ! have been called to serve a mission mis-sion in South Dakota. I Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Murie of Milford visited here on Christmas day with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Murie. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor D. Jones left here shortly before Christmas to travel to Idaho to spend Christmas Christ-mas with their daughter Arella and her family. They returned In. me Monday night. Richard Nelson made a business busi-ness trip to Salt Lake City on Wednesday of last week. Many friends and relatives attended at-tended the Farewell Testimonial for Richard Grimshaw In the Enoch Ward Chapel held last Sunday. Richard is the son of Pres. and Mrs. George D. Grimshaw Grim-shaw and has been called to serve in the Southern California Mission. He will enter the Mission Mis-sion Home in Salt Lake City Monday January 4. Among the out-of-town visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stubbs and Pres. Howard Knight and wife from Parowan; Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Slack, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Armstrong, Arm-strong, Doug Maxwell and Haken Anderson from Cedar City, and Mr. and Mrs. Oieen Hatch and family from Fillmore. Miss Ann Grimshaw, daughter of Bp. and Mrs. Henry Grim-I Grim-I shaw, has received a call to serve ! in the Austrian Mission. She will I enter the mission home on January Janu-ary 18. A aFrewell party was held in the Enoch Recreation Hall Wed- ! nesday night to honor Richard 1 Grimshaw prior to his departure for the mission field. Miss Louise Matheson is con- j fined to her home because of a back injury suffered last Saturday Satur-day while working at home. I |
