Show Fall Injuries Cause Death of Mother Of Cedar City Woman Mrs. llariet Pickett Woodbury, !M, of La Verkin and mother of Mrs. Orville Isom of Cedar City, died Saturday about four hours after she was injured in a fall while visiting at the Isom home. Mrs. Woodbury, a pioneer settler set-tler in the La Verkin area, fell anil struck her head about X p. rn. Christmas night. She was born Sept. !, 1873, in St. George, a daughter of Horatio and Harriet Josephine Johnson Pi'-keit. She married Arthur II. Woodbury on Sept. !, lMil.'l in j the St. George Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. .Mr. Woodbury died in l!l(i(l. ' Mrs. Woodbury served several years as a school trustee in La Verkin and Hurricane, and headed head-ed Daughters of Utah Pioru-ers chapters in those cities. She was very active in the LDS Church. She served as Trail Builder teacher teach-er up to the age of 87. In all, she taught in the Primary Organization Or-ganization for about GO years. Suiviving are the following sons and daughters: Glen I'. Woi.dbury, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Foster i Dixie) Harrison, Orem; Mrs. Alfred M. (Melbai Henson, St. George; Ellis J. Woodbury, Hailey, Idaho; Max J. Woodbruy, La Verkin; Mrs. Orville (Gladys! Isom, Cedar City; and Clive D.I Woodbury, Ogden. Also surviving are 43 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and four great-great great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the LaVer-1 kin LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the LaVerkin City Cemetery. |
