Show C.S.U. Student Center Third Anniversary To Be Observed with Day-long Celebration Tlio third anniversary f t ho College of Southern Utah S:u lent Center will be observed Saturday, Jan. 9 with a day-long celebration, celebra-tion, according to Darrell Krue-gcr, Krue-gcr, Torry, Wayne County, ( hair-man hair-man of the event. . A cake-baking contest will be the feature of the day with a prize of $20 being offered tor the best cake. The largest cake and most beautiful cake will receive! awards of $10 each. Mr. Krucger; I said that anyone can enter the I contest and all campus organia-i tions arc encouraged to compete. Ovens in the Familv Livinc Center Cen-ter and CSU Cafeteria will be made available to those who may riot have access to baking facilities. The cak s will be served serv-ed at a dance to be held in the CSU ballroom the evening of the celebration. Other annivcrsaiy activities will include kissin;1 and pie eat ing contests. Married students with children will he eligible to vie for the most oiiginal diaper conU'St. Campus orato.s will have an opportunity to vie for prizes as they speak from the stumn in front of the Student Center. Four CSU professors will participate in a panel discussion. Game tournaments will be held during the day including chess, bridge, poker, ping pong and pool. Entertainment will include in-clude movies, talent shows, surfing surf-ing congest, and hootenany, all to be he I I in the Student Center. Mr. Krueger said that there will also be snow football if there Is any snow. Everyone is invited to attend the celebration free of charge. |
