Show Miss Mareta Christensen and Brent Nelson Exchange Marriage Vows at Kanarraville In a double ring ceremony 1 performed at the kanarraville Ward Chapel Miss Mareta Christensen Chris-tensen of Kanarraville became the bride of Dean Brent Nelson of Cedar City. The new Mrs. Nelson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. May-nard May-nard E. Christensen. Mr. Nelson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lu-Dcan Lu-Dcan Nelson of Cedar City. Following the marriage the couple were honred at a reception. recep-tion. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Colleen Christensen. Chris-tensen. Other attendants were Mrs. Verl (Mary Gayle) Bell, Miss Pamela Christensen, Miss Mary Bauer and Miss Angie Ence with Miss Sally Nelson as flow-cr flow-cr girl. Performing the duties of best man were Jerry Nelson and Brent Cripps with Fred Stelnfels, Gerald Batt, Mike Hulet, Verl Bell, Larry Flanigan served as ushers. Junior usher was Stuart Christensen. The bride was radiant in a floor length gown of white brocade bro-cade satin, and her veil was of delustered satin and she carried a bridal bouquet of gardenias and white roses. Her attendants were In floor length gowns of agua satin, accentuated ac-centuated by aqua tipped chrysanthemums chrys-anthemums and white daisies. For the occasion the bride's mother chose a sky blue lace sheath and wore a corsage of pink glamelias and Airs. Nelson, mother of the bridegroom selected select-ed a two piece pink suit with pink a nd blue matching boluses and pink accessories. The new Mrs Nelson la a graduate of Ced.tr City High School and has attended College , in. MR AND MRS. BRENT NELSON of Southern Utah for one year. Mr. Nelson also graduated from Cedar High School and completed two years of study at CSU. Currently Cur-rently he is serving in the U. S. Army an dis stationed at Ft. Gordon, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Nelson entertained en-tertained thirty guests, members of the wedding party and close relatives, at a patio buffet dinner din-ner Saturday prior to the wedding. wed-ding. Among the guests attending attend-ing were Mrs. Betty Geudge, Los Angeles, a great aunt of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Mildred Dalley and Mrs. LaRett Harrison, both aunts from Salt Lake City. The newlyweds honeymooned briefly at Panguitch Lake before leaving for Georgia where he wil continue his service training. |
