Show NEWS NOTES FROM SUMMIT Mrs. Donna Darenport A large number of our Ward members attended Stake Conference Confer-ence In Parowan Saturday and Sunday where five of our young men were ordained to the office of Elder in the Priesthood. They were Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker; Keith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Humpherys; Dick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Farrow; David, son of Bp. and Mrs. Ivan Dalley and Dennis, Den-nis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pulley. Mrs. Carl Evans was the honored hon-ored guest on her birthday Thursday Thurs-day evening when her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet had a chicken dinner In their back yard. Others enjoying the family get-together with Mr. and Mrs. Hulet and the Evans family were Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Hulet and family and coming from Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hulet end Mrs. Pauline Neptune. Mrs. Neptune spent several days here with her sister, Mrs. Oscar Hulet Mr. and Mrs. Max Rees and sons Ronnie, Larry and Dana of Kaysvllle spent most of last week here with Mrs. Rees' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wllford Lawrence. Mrs. Carol Davis and daughters Laurie and Janice, Richfield, arrived ar-rived here Thursday for an overnight over-night visit with Carol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley. Miss Mary Beth Dalley returned return-ed home Saturday after a two-week two-week stay with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrsr. Charles Hulet in New Castle. Mrs. Hulda Peterson enjoyed a visit recently from her sister, Mrs. Barbara Tobler, and her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Arch Tobler, of Washington, Washing-ton, Utah. Mrs. Peterson's granddaughter grand-daughter and family, Dr. and Mrs. Jay Blake and four children of Washington, arrived here Sunday Sun-day for an overnight visit. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow traveled to Las Vegas recently to visit with their son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Marc All-ton All-ton and baby and Miss Francis Farrow. They brought their son Dennis home after a two-weeks' stay there. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rasmussen and children Randy, Lori Ann and Trent of Connecticut, spent last week here with Mrs. Ras-mussen's Ras-mussen's folks, Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Dalley, and family. They started their Journey home Sunday Sun-day taking Bonnie and Kathleen Dalley with them. The girls will be gone about two weeks and plan to visit the World Fair and many other places of Interest In the East. Mrs. Esther Morton of Downey, Calif., and her daughter, Mrs. Sheryl Bernett and two chlldrern of Anaheim, Calif., spent several days here last week visiting their son and brother, Rodger Morton, and family; also Mrs. Morton's sister, Mrs. Helen Matheson and brother Herbert White and family. fami-ly. Mrs. Morton's son, Tony, returned re-turned home with them after spending the summer here. Craig White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dee White, also accompanied thern to California for a few days' visit, returning to Las Vegas by plane where his folks will meet him. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Humpherys Hum-pherys enjoyed having their little lit-tle granddaughter, Billye Ann Woodard, here for the week end while her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Woodard moved from Cedar Ce-dar to St. George. The Young Marrieds met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Evans Saturday evening for a cook out Denise Prince, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Prince, had the misfortune to fall from her pony while riding last week and break her elbow in three places. She was kept overnight In the Valley View Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dalley and family spent several days in Salt Lake City last week where they went to take Mrs. Dalley's brother, bro-ther, George Gardiner, ftr he had visited here for a short time. We are happy to welcome Eddie Ed-die Brown of Lupton, Ariz., back to our community for the school year. He makes his home with Mr. and. Mrs. Lyle Farrow. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Lawrence have a new foster son, ten-year-old Steven Ste-ven Nelson, also of Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kruse and children Lisa, Kathleen, Randy and Ann of Los Angeles, visited with Mrs. Kruse's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand Dalley and family Monday. Mr. and Mrs. James Prince and family visited In Marysvale recently re-cently with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Prince. They were acompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Arden Richards. |
