Supporters Schedule Public Meet Sufficient progress has been made In the past two weeks to indicate that development of a golf course in Cedar City is almost al-most assured. I Leaders In the program with representatives from the various vari-ous civic organizations in the town, have met in two separate1 sessions" during that time, to! discuss and formulate orgaiiiza-j tional plans. A third meeting w ill j be held Monday, Aug. 6. at which time details are exected to bo completed to a point where final organization can be effected in' a public meeting set for Monday evening, Aug. 13. j The new golf course, to be located lo-cated on city property east of Highway 91 in the northern portion por-tion of the city, will he developed develop-ed through a non-profit ineorxr-' ation, if present plans continue. The course has lvn laid out. and if the organization is completed com-pleted on Aug. 13, memberships ' will he solicited and actual work1 on the project should be started soon afterwards. Ralph R. Thomas and Steve As-mus, As-mus, Elks Club representatives, have spearheaded the program, with representatives from other groups providing enthusiastic support. The representatives and organizations organ-izations from which they were appointed are as follows: James M. Amend. Robert F. Loer, Rotary Club; M. F. Halden. Lee Empey. Kiwanis Club; Leo Cahoon, Wallace Wal-lace Osborne, Lions Club; Neal Carter, Royce Knight. Chamber of Commerce; Richard T. Brown, Robert R. Dimick, Junior Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce; W. F. Mullett. Oren Taylor, former Cedar City Golf Club. Patrick H. Fenton is acting as legal consultant, and Whitney Jensen as temporary secretary. According to Mr. Thomas everyone interested will be given giv-en an opportunity for membership, member-ship, and it is hoicd that many residents participate In the pro-gram. pro-gram.
