Show Red Cross Officers Discuss Regional Problems A regional convention of American Amer-ican Red Cross workers of southern south-ern Utah was held in Cedar City Tuesday evening with Gustive 6. Larson, chairman of the Iron County chapter, presiding. Representatives of the other chapters of the area met with the chapter officers and workers of Iron County, and heard discus-1 sions of Red Cross finance, or-ganization or-ganization and service problems' by state and regional representatives. represen-tatives. Allen Carter, field executive of the Pacific area; Mrs. Carolin Walsh, home service director for the area; Orin Beckstrand, representative rep-resentative of the Intermountain Regional Blood Center, and Welsch Boyer, State Red Cross representative, met with the group and discussed various phases of the program. Subjects discussed were the general finance planning and the setting up of local budgets, home service problems, and the place of the local chapter in the blood procurement program. Whitney Jensen of Cedar City, state director of blood procurement, procure-ment, assisted in the discussion of this phase of the program. Tlie meeting was held at El Escalante Hotel, and during intermission in-termission the visitors were the guests of the hotel when refreshments refresh-ments were served. |
