Pony League Makes Application for National Affiliation Officers and the board of directors di-rectors of the Cedar City Pony baseball league announced this week that application has been filed with the national organization organiza-tion to obtain a franchise for the league this year. Last year the league was formulated for-mulated and under the rules it must participate under the regulations regu-lations of the national organization organiza-tion for one year before it can become affiliated. Lee Empey, president this year, stated that the application for a franchise has been made and it is anticipated that it will be received re-ceived in time for league play this year. Dates for the bidding on players play-ers for the four teams have also been set with May 4 as the auction auc-tion date. Tryouts prior to that time will be announced in the near future. However, before any boy Is eligible eli-gible to play he must be properly registered. Leo Cahoon, at Stex-ens Stex-ens Company, is the player agent for the group and questions of registration should be taken up with him. Age requirements for the pony league is another factor fac-tor with boys 13 and 11 eligible 'to participate under the national set-up. |
