Show Sheep, Lamb Losses Attributed To Poor Range Lands Stephen L. Brower, Iron County Coun-ty Agricultural Agent, reports that a rather heavy sheep and lamb loss in herds of southern Utah is beginning to develop, perhaps per-haps because of lack of propei nutrition caused by poor growing grow-ing conditions on the ranges. "Every indication," he says "points to lack of vitamin A ir in the sheep feed because of slow ranges caused by droutli condi tions." He points out that alfalfa i; the best source of this needet vitamin, and that small losses have been reported in lambinj flocks on the farms where th feed has been augmented wit! alfalfa, while the losses an heaviest in flocks lambed on thi range.
